Sneak Peek: New Photos

We’ve been working with pet photographer Jenny Karlsson on a few projects recently (remember these?!) and she agreed to snap a few photos of our recent work. She just sent over a sneak peek! More later…

We rounded up the cousins to do a little Christmas photo shoot using lights. Rebecca and Dan were so great at getting the babies to cooperate and ignoring the overbearing parents (meaning me). Here are a few things we learned: 1. Sit the kids in front of an outlet so there isn’t a string of lights going out of the picture. 2. There needs to be lots of light in the room, aside from your strings of little lights. 3. The lights get hot and feel poke-y. Uncomfortable baby means unhappy baby. Unhappy baby means bad (or hilarious) family photos afterward …

If I were newly married–or a cute kid–I’d totally wrap myself in lights for a Christmas card photo. Off the charts cute, right?

This newly wed shoot is too adorable for words. To see more–including frolicking in mashed potato flakes (aka snow)–check out Haley Sheffield’s blog.

It’s always fun to collaborate with talented creatives, so we were 100% on board when Jenny from Jenny Karlsson Photography contacted us about a few projects she has going. We took a few of her awesome photos and put together these holiday promo cards for a promotion she’s doing at Petagogy in Pittsburgh (Be sure to check out the promo!)

If you have pets in Pittsburgh–or anywhere close–I’d highly recommend giving Jenny a call! She rocks. Plus, she’s one of the nicest people you’ll ever meet.
You can see a few more of our designs here!

Last summer Licia at Invision Photography asked us to design a logo for her new photography venture. She creates awesome pieces of art by using pictures of letters and numbers to spell out important names, words and dates. Her letter photos make a perfect wedding or baby gift.
Licia knew she wanted blue, blue, blue…and a clever play on a camera. We came up with four options:
Licia liked both the bold circle and the thin circle strokes so we incorporated the two. Here are the two logos we came up with before morphing them into the final logo:

Kind of fun to see the process, huh?
If you’re in the Omaha area you can catch Licia at the St. Wenceslaus Spring “Bowtique” (St. Wenceslaus is at 153rd and Pacific in Omaha) on Saturday (April 16) from 9:00 am - 3:30 pm. You can also send her an email.
I can’t stop thinking about these 5×5 Collections of Nine prints from little brown pen.

They’re absolute perfection in simple RIBBA frames from IKEA.
Beautiful art, little effort. Score!
